I'm that reformer.
I'm a reformer that comes with the experience of working with Commissioner Quigley for over eight years, three years as Chief of Staff.
I'm a reformer that has authored or co-authored over eight reports on how to restructure and reinvent Cook County Government.
I'm a reformer that has been responsible for budget analysis for Commissioner Quigley for over eight years.
I'm a reformer that has the experience, the commitment, and the record of reform that we need to ensure that our taxes aren't raised, that our government works for us, and that Todd Stroger doesn't have another rubber stamp on the Cook County Board.
The next Commissioner will start their job on April 15th - just four days after the slating session. As of the end of the first quarter of the 2008 fiscal year we are already $18 million behind on our revenue estimates - we don't have time for on the job training. I can do this job from Day 1. I can hit the ground running and serve the residents of the 10th District without any down time.
You may not have a vote, but you do have a voice. If you care about reform, transparency, and accountability, speak out, call your committeeman or committeewoman. Tell them that you want to continue the Quigley legacy of cleaning up Cook County, and work with me to open up the board room doors, and let the sun shine in.
DON'T FORGET - IT'S YOUR CALL, LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!
