What they're saying about the race..

In less than a week we'll know who our next Cook County Commissioner will be. As the race is heating up, people are starting to take notice.

This article in Progress Illinois gives us a look at this past Saturday's forum, calling me the candidate with, "the most hands-on experience in county government."

As I said at the forum, we still have work to do to restructure and reinvent county government, and I'm the only candidate with the experience and record of reform that we need on day one to continue the fight that Mike Quigley has been engaged in for the past decade.

On Greg Hinz's blog in Crain's Chicago Business, he talks about the stakes of the race, and the importance of "pursuing economic reforms", in "the same mold to succeed" Commissioner Quigley.

We've got a lot of fights ahead of us on the Cook County Board, and we need to make sure we have someone ready on day one to fight for us. I know I can be that person. Give your committeeman/committeewoman a call, tell them you want to send a fighter to the board!
